First-Year Experience
The School of Education’s First-Year Experience (FYE) program goes above and beyond to engage incoming students and ensure they feel a connection to Baylor and to their major. (Class photo of Class of 2026 future teachers above.)
Although coursework during the first two years of college focuses on general academic requirements, the SOE’s Introduction to Teaching course launches first-year students into lesson planning, student assessments, and authentic teaching opportunities at a local school. This experience helps solidify their calling as an educator and prepares them for future clinical experiences.
