Faculty Publishing Highlights

Dr. Tracey Sulak published “Transforming Teacher Education” and “The Seven Principles of Teacher Education at Baylor University,” two chapters in the book Reforming Teaching and Teacher Education: Bright Prospects for Active Schools, from Sense Publishing, edited by Drs. Eija Kimonen and Raimo Nevalainen of Finland. Co-authors with Sulak were three Baylor doctoral students in Educational Psychology— Rachel Renbarger, Robin Wilson, and Becky Odajima. Two other chapters in the book are co-authored, with Sulak, by Dr. Susan Johnsen and Dr. Krys Goree.

Dr. Nathan Alleman published “Separate but Not Quite Equal: Collegiality Experiences of Full-Time, Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Members in a 2017 issue of the Journal of Higher Education, with co-author Cara Cliburn Allen, doctoral student in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Nick Benson published “Examining the Integrity of Measurement of Cognitive Abilities in the Prediction of Achievement: Comparisons and Contrasts Across Variables from Higher-order and Bifactor Models” in the October 2016 issue of the Journal of School Psychology.

Drs. Brooke E. Blevins, Karon N. LeCompte, and Sunny Wells published “Innovations in Civic Education: Developing Civic Agency through Action Civics” in Theory and Research in Social Education on September 1, 2016.

Dr. Grant B. Morgan and Baylor doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology Kevin E. Wells published “Temporal Attitudes Profile Transition among Adolescents: A longitudinal Examination using Mover-stayer Latent Transition Analysis” in an upcoming issue of Psychological Assessment.
